The BSO will celebrate its 75th anniversary during the 2013-2014 season—we are considered a civic treasure!
We are an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Our volunteer musicians number over 100 and range in age from teens to 80.
Our audience continues to expand—sales of tickets increase an average of 15% a year
Our conductor, Dr. Beverly Everett, is widely respected in her field, having received awards and requests to participate in prestigious events throughout the country. Her professional connections bring world caliber guest artists such as André Watts, Murry Sidlin, and Carol Wincenc to Bemidji.
In addition to a seven-concert season, we offer educational programs in the schools and concerts just for youth. We collaborate with other area organizations to do out-of-the-ordinary programming— we’ve been called a gutsy group!
It costs an average of $13,000 to put on just one concert. The largest portion of our annual revenue comes from tax-deductible donations from individuals and businesses like yours.
Thank you for your consideration and for all YOU do to make our community a better place to live!
